  • Can a SD DVD be 23.8 fps?

Forgive my ignorance but I haven’t set up a DVD project for sometime.

My project was shot on 24p and it needs to go to SD DVD. Can I retain that frame rate for SD DVD? And it is upper field first, right?

    Thanks.

23.98 is a frame rate you can put on a DVD. And it is a progressive format…no field dominance.

So a SD DVD can support 24p? This DVD is going to market and needs to be playable on all DVD players, even really old ones.

    Thanks.
