  • Can a Kona2 and Decklink card coexsist?

Posted by Rob Birnholz on May 17, 2005 at 6:07 pm

I have my first HD capture session coming up next week, so I can finally get some good use from my Kona2 card…

Currently I have a Decklink SP installed, which has been great for component analog I/O. The HD session will involve capturing from a Sony HDCAM deck to DVCPROHD with the Kona2 and a G-Raid drive.

Anyone know if I can run both the Kona2 and Decklink cards in the same machine? The Kona will be used strictly for capture on this project, not playback or editing.

    In a word, no”

Next question… Can the Kona software coexist with Blackmagic’s? Or do I need to uninstall all Decklink drivers before installing Kona’s?

(The Kona2 card will not be staying in this machine permanently).

    thanks,
