June 29, 2011 at 12:13 amInteresting…seeing that FCP doesn’t run on Windows. How is FCP running on a PC? Hackintosh? if so, then it is the MacOS, and the project file will open fine, as long as the FCP versions match.
The MacOS is the MacOS.

June 29, 2011 at 12:13 amFinal Cut Pro is Mac only software, produced by Apple. There is no such thing as FCP projects on a PC. Windows or Linux based software cannot run FCP.
If you meant a Mac PowerPC, then the answer is yes. Up until FCP X old versions of FCP can be opened by newer versions on modern Macs.

AE projects should work in both platforms.
Just check versions compatibility.

July 1, 2011 at 7:17 pmI found out the easy way – I tried it, and it works. the project opens right up but I had to relink all the media manually.
Thanks y’all.
