Interesting…seeing that FCP doesn’t run on Windows. How is FCP running on a PC? Hackintosh? if so, then it is the MacOS, and the project file will open fine, as long as the FCP versions match.

    The MacOS is the MacOS.

Final Cut Pro is Mac only software, produced by Apple. There is no such thing as FCP projects on a PC. Windows or Linux based software cannot run FCP.

If you meant a Mac PowerPC, then the answer is yes. Up until FCP X old versions of FCP can be opened by newer versions on modern Macs.

    Hi John,
AE projects should work in both platforms.
    Just check versions compatibility.

I found out the easy way – I tried it, and it works. the project opens right up but I had to relink all the media manually.
    Thanks y’all.
