  • Can a camera make straight lines?

Posted by Norman Greenwood on April 6, 2009 at 9:58 pm

I used a camera for a small photo montage project, and it worked great.

But I was wondering if there was a way to make the camera movement lines just straight instead of being smoothed out?

I’m not sure if that is very clear. What I’m trying to spit out is can the path of the camera be made up of straight lines, or must they always be curved if you are changing the point of interest, position, and orientation?

    Thanks for the help.

Affirming what David said: The issue is that the spatial interpolation for your keyframes is Bezier, not linear. You can either change this for keyframes after they’ve been created, or you can change the default. For more information, see the interploation section of After Effects Help.
