  • Camera rendering front half of scene only (distance dependent)

Hi – I’ve got a scene setup with thinking particles. From certain camera angles, the back half of the scene is completely absent upon rendering. I’m attaching two images (before render and after) and a scene file.

I’ve tried every combination of settings I can think of – any guidance here is tremendously appreciated.

yeah testing your other scene I saw the same thing, some of the puffs don’t render. Looking at the scene from the top and seeing where the Side.1 camera is (right dead center inside the matrix, past many of the points but since it’s a parallel camera it can do that) I wondered if that is something Pyrocluster can’t handle, so I moved the camera straight back along the Z of the camera (in the top view) out of the matrix and it appears to all render.

That did it! The boundary box defining the Focal Distance of the camera needed to fully contain the geometry for it to render. Amazing help, thank you so much!
