Camera Raw Filter
I saw some Adobe update video online from an email they sent me saying they have implemented importing Canon raw DNG files into PPCC to edit clips, but I have not seen it yet from all the updates I just had installed. Does anyone know about this as to when and where it is? That would save me a lot of extra steps I now have to do with PSCC to make a simple first grade and then convert all the DNG’s to a TIF sequence just to get inside PPCC to edit. I want to be able to recall the Camera Raw Filter in PPCC like I do now inside PSCC and not have to round trip out of my edit session for some additional tweaking on raw clips.

That would be the ultimate setup for me! Is there a way to implement camera raw into my video workflow that is not as cumbersome as it is now?

YES. PLEASE add the camera raw filter in Premiere like you did with Photoshop!

There is a very easy solution for Adobe to take advantage of in the case CAMERA RAW is too hard to implement at the moment. Say you have a raw sequence (TIFF/CinemaDNG/etc).
Adjust one of the frames in photoshop’s Camera Raw and then only import that file into Premiere CC.
You know how any tweaks made using Camera Raw are saved and brought back when you re-open a raw photo in photoshop? Basically do the same thing, only “cross-save” it so that premiere only grabs those tweaks made already in photoshop.I agree with everybody that a camera raw implementation into premiere CC would be a monster, I’m just presenting another simple idea to implement meanwhile because I want Camera Raw in Premiere ASAP!!

I am getting my Canon RAW files (not MLV)to go straight into PPro CC. It plays back at full speed/ full quality and allows any further post adjustments. This seems to work because I have PPro CC version 7.0. You cannot “Import” these files, you have to use the Windows Explorer to drag and drop them in or use the PPro CC Media Browser. It’s also possible this is happening because I have the Ginger HDR plugin installed.
Adobe did something in the Update to version 7.1 that made it stop working like this. We will eventually need all of this to work with the Magic Lantern MLV raw file system and for every PPro CC update. If it worked before (I just tried it now and it still works), then what’s the problem and the hold up?

Yeah it is the same process as to what I do. I was talking about the camera raw tweaks and adjustments you can make to a raw file in photoshop but not in Premiere pro CC 7
