    Could also try the flash frame effect that comes with the free ‘too much too soon’ fx package. Google the name and you’ll find them easily enough.

    I like and use the two plugins mentioned above.

    Another way to achieve this is to place eight or so frames of white over your transition, use composite mode “add” (or whatever) and ramp the opacity of the white so it peaks at the cut.

    Once you build this, just copy and paste the white over your cuts that need a flash.

    Eureka! plugins also have one, called “flash cross,” which is nice.
