Camera Archive vs XML
I was about to start digitizing my over 278 videotapes to camera archive when I heard an alternative called XML. The apparent argument in favor of XML is that it’s more likely to be read, either by a Apple products or otherwise, as it is more universally used format.
Anyone used XML for archiving?

Do you have a link you can share about XML archiving of video tape?

I understand XML, however I think we are talking about 2 different things here. The XML describes the media in a library and the work that was done with the media, both to organize and to edit the media, however an XML file without the underlying media doesn’t solve the issue of archiving the actual media.
