  Calling all Pro Tools + Decklink users

  Hi

  I’m trying to find out what codecs Pro Tools can use with Decklink.

  I’m waiting for my PT 8 LE to be delivered, and in the mean time I have the Decklink Studio installed in a new Mac Pro with Snow Leopard. (yes, I know we have to get a beta of Pro Tools to work with Snow Leopard)…

  The Deck Control app that decklink supplies only plays DV files out of the Decklink Studio’s video outputs. When I load Apple Prores (and yes, I have installed the codecs) in either SD or HD into the Deck Control app, nothing gets playout out of the hardware. The software plays the video file, but it does not send it out.

  This could be caused by the deck control app only having DV codec hardcoded into it, but I would like to find out from somebody who uses Pto Tools with Decklink – can I use the Apple Prores codec with it?
