Call Transformations from Parent
Hi,
Is there a way to call the information about any transformation coming from a parent? For example, as the parent scales, the child changes in position (as well as scaling). So I can add expressions to the child’s scale property to affect how it scales in relation to the parent (e.g. inverse, add, etc.), but where and how do I add expressions to adjust how the child changes in position around the parent?
Another example: delaying multiple childs radiating out from a parent null (which is only keyframed to scale up), so the childs radiate out in sequence or randomly. I’ve tried valueAtTime and read through Dan Ebberts “Follow the Leader” on motionscript.com, but I don’t see an answer.
Thank you so much in advance!
Sincerely,
Tomps I’ve seen this question take a couple different forms in posts asking how to delay a child’s scale, rotation, and orientation (basically anything except it’s position) from its parent. But all those posts seem to have the question unanswered.
