Computer displays are never display accurate color for video, unless you use something like the Matrox MXO, and that only works with DVI monitors, so you cant use it on the built in LCD.

As far as calibration goes unless you are trying to get color accuracy between your printer and display then you don’t really need to.

So for video you will need an external reference monitor.

You cannot calibrate a portable for video accuracy, forget it.
To calibrate between printers for your Photoshop work can be researched in any PS forum and you can start by opening the Color Management topic in Mac OS Help. You will need a $100 to $1500 monitor spider system.

I’d forget the whole thing and rely on color accuracy on a monitor designed for the task like Apple Cinema or LaCie.

This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”
