Calculating sxs card capacity @ 720p and 1080p @ 1 fps
Im shooting time lapse of a stage and am trying to figure out how long 2 16 gig cards will last me shooting at 720p @ 1 fps and also at 1080p @ 1fps. Anybody know how to calculate this.

Do a google search for data bitrate calculators- there are tons of them. Such as:

Since the data rate per second on playback is relatively the same (given it’s a VBR codec) at 35mbps, your time base may make a difference.
For example, 720p24 and 720p60 are both at 35mbps so a frame at p24 would have more data.
For the same reason 720p24/60 records at a higher data rate than 720p30/60. Playback is 35mbps so the former is 2.4x whereas the latter is 2x

Don’t need to get dressed of Einstein.
Think how much time you can record normally, and multiply by 24 or by 30.
