C4D project renders won’t open in AFX with the .aec file
Have rendered out of C4D and included a multipass and an After Effects project file.
When I try to import the AFX file (.aec) it does not do anything in after effects!!!!
Can anyone please help as to why this is happening

Did you install the AE import plugin that comes in your Maxon folder. You have to drop that into the AE plugins folder on your Hard Drive and restart AE

Yeah, done that but it doesn’t help
tried reinstalling the plugin and also tried updating it
