    Greetings,

I have a rendering question. I’ve got keyframes in ‘Visibility’ attribute for various objects in my C4D project. Everything renders as expected in regular mode. However, when I add ‘Cel Renderer’ to my settings, anything with ‘Visibility’ keyframes stop fading in/out and instead pop on/off.

To clarify, I’m not animating alphas or anything inside materials (I know how picky cel attributes can be). I’m only animating Visibility (C4D Tags – Visibility)

    Any ideas? Thanks in advance,

Cel Renderer is a post effect which is only looking for objects and their boundaries and edges (if that is selected). The only way to stop it is to make the object not visible entirely by the Display (Visibility) tag or the Visible in Renderer control. Even a fully alpha’d object shows. Sketch and Toon could do it but by a different method, S&T also is just looking for geometry but you can give each object it’s own S&T texture and fade the lines in and out from background colour to make it look like they are fading in and out.
