Hi just a quick question, i am having problems saving the 3D data from C4D. i think i have the relevant boxes check but C4D only gives me a w-space Bridge file insted of a Ae file and i’m not sure what to do with it.

Any sugestion would be great !!!

    Thanks

Have you installed the After Effects exchange plugin?

The exchange plugin installers should be on your C4D discs, as well as at the link I included in my last post.

These After Effects plugins enable AE to open the .AEC files that C4D exports as projects.

Once you have the exchange plugins installed, there are plenty of tutorials which demo C4D/AE integration.

    Thanks
I’m not sure if my intial setup of C4D run the After effects exchange plungin thanks….for the link, I’l run it and report back any feed back.

I’ve watched several tutorials on exporting from C4d and enabling the the right render setting. C4D was happy to render off a
quick time movie of my project and several multipass alpha channels but would only save a (w-space) file for the after effects project save.
I’ll give this a go and see how far i get.

keep a look out for my post i’m sure i’ll be asking plenty of questions.

    Thanks Again.

    Hi Walter

Thanks for your help… the exchange files seem to work, i copied the plugin into the plugin file on Ae cs4.when i save out of C4d an aec file is made, however it still has a w-space file tag not a Ae tag,i’m not sure if this makes any diffrence.
The w-space opens in Adobe bridge, but when i improt the file into Ae it opens with all the relevant camera and seperate light info.
anyway so far so good !!!!

    thanks for your help !!
