C300 – Footage shows on Camera card won’t read outside of camera
Hello,
I’m looking for ideas on how to dump footage from the Canon C300 directly. The footage shows on the camera (I can watch all the clips when the card is in the camera) but when I try to dump the card through a card reader, nothing shows up. However, I cannot find a way to offload the footage directly from the C300. (I see no connection from cam to computer.)
Anybody have any ideas how I can save this footage? Is there a 1-to-1 solution? Anyone else run into this problem?

Wait…you put the card in a card reader and see absolutely NO folders?
We use the NextoDI…it’s an all in one unit that you put a card in and it backs it up automatically.
But you should still see the contents of the card. No?

We’ve put the card in multiple readers and see nothing. The only time we see anything is when it is in the camera.

Did you ever find a solution to this problem? I just shot something that won’t show up on the cards but plays back on the camera. Please let me know if you found a solution.

What version of the Mac OS are you all running? 10.8?

10.8 hides part of the card directory structure…where previous versions of the OS did not.

May places recommend PAVTUBE. I do not. Just because I haven’t used it. ClipWrap2 I can recommend, and it works great. Sorry that you have to resort to third party options…that’s due to Mountain Lion’s “enhanced security” causing some files and folders to be hidden.

Yes I am running 10.8.
I just put card in my laptop and it read it fine. No idea what is going on with my main computer.
