I am seeking to upgrade to a camera that far surpasses the features of the XA10 and Canon 7d.

I do event production and sometimes have the opportunity for IMAG production.

I also shoot corporate training videos, product demo video, and talking heads on green screen/in native settings.

I am considering the C100 or the C300 as a substantial upgrade to my current cameras and would like to know if they are possible solutions for IMAG use with the proper lens.

I know the C300 has SDI out which is advantageous.

I can also use a blackmagic HDMI to SDI converter with the C100.

Which lens would be recommended for shooting at distances up to 80ft while framing a close up of a person speaking at a podium?

Lighting is never a problem at these large events.

I realize these cameras aren’t necessarily targeted for the IMAG market, but can they be used successfully with a fine focus adapter and the right lens?

    Any input is greatly appreciated.
