    Never came across this before…

I am creating some layers in 3d – text and such. I’ve got a background layer and then some text stuff that is set -Z space throughout a camera move.

I wanted those texts to cast shadows on the background layer so I added a light… Spot actually. Worked great!

    So here’s the rub…

I had another floating layer that was a black and white inkblot still…. I made it screen mode so all I’d see were the black inkblots… BUT when I added the light it gave me a ghosty view of the white area.

Am I missing something easy? Oh — actually… I’ll try and precomp it. Maybe that’s my issue?

    Thanks

I meant multiplymode… and no… precomping didn’t seem to work either.
