  • Buttons hidden on using Vegas 7e

Posted by Ralph Hajik on November 1, 2008 at 10:37 pm

    Hi,

I’m using Vegas7e and Excalibur. I’m trying to figure out why are my buttons for Excalibur hidden on the tool bar until I scroll my pointer over them. It identifies the different tabs, but the tabs are all whited out and when I move the pointer away, the tabs disappear. This is a first time it ever happened. I have reset them from the custom tool bar and replaced them and still no change. Any suggestions?

Sorry, don’t know much about Excalibur,
But i think you’ll get a more detailed outline
if you raise the issue over on their site.

Ralph, send me an e-mail (possibly with some snapshots so I can see what you’re describing) and we’ll see if we can figure out what’s going on.

    Hi Ed & Steve,

Thanks for the quick response and always happy to hear from you Ed. I went out for a quick bite to eat because I was editing all day a trip I’ve videotaped from Croatia. I shut down Vegas until I return. I reopened Vegas 7e & to my surprise the icons from Excalibur now show and once again I’m a happy editor. See Ed & Steve, once I get a response from you experts, everything starts to work fine. Happy Halloween, Boooooooo!
    My computer is spooked.

    Thanks anyway,

Ralph, when the icons disappear (it’s a well-documented Sony issue), simply use the Rescan Scripts button found in the Tools menu to restore them. Sort of a PITA, but between .Net and Sony…it’s still not a 100% showtime.

    Hi DSE,

Thanks for responding and for the information. I’ll make a note of the rescan.
