    Ok short and sweet.

I made a pretty simple menu in photoshop, when I was all done linking everything in encore, I saw that it added these cruddy looking button overlay’s.

I figured that I could edit the menu in photoshop, change the button overlay to a simple white arrow, save it back out, and be done.

Everything works except for the fact that may arrow looks like pooooooo.

Basically it looks like it isn’t ailiased right, but it is according to photoshop. Plus when I see them in encore they look good, but on the preview, and the burned DVD they look crappy.

Please help. All I want is to be done, and I am so close, I just want my arrows to look crisp, like they do in photoshop.

Thanks for any help you can give,
    Jason

There is no anti-aliasing of subpicture highlights on a DVD…that’s what you’re seeing.

Choose an arrow design that looks satisfactory when you preview the menu in Encore- then you’ll be good to go. If that’s not possible, consider doing more work with an extra subpicture layer (=2) that is just an outline, and set it at a lower opacity to “fake” anti-aliasing.
