bus error in thread main thread at address 0*0
hello
just got my new mac pro and installed the mc 5.
been having the bus error mesage when ever trying to import a music file (wav or mp3) the system then gets stuck & i need to force quit.
i tried everything from opening a new project ;different project; amming the media to different locations on my external & internal drive & nothing helps.
when i export & render and it works fine. also playing the seq\ cutting things\importing jps & qt files there seems to be no problem. only when i try importing
can someone help me please?

What OS are you running, what version of Media Composer, and are you booting into the 64bit Kernel or 32?

The Newest Macs are shipping into a 64bit Kernel, which Avid does not support. Read the above link and adhere to them requirements 100%, or risk more errors.
