    Whatever you do, just don’t CROSS the streams. It would be bad.

    Seriously though, it sounds like what you’re trying to do probably has a solution somewhere at http://www.doom9.org. They have a lot of guides and freeware applications that should apply to what you’re trying to do.

    Hey guys,

    I d/loaded avimux-gui. I extract the binary from the ac3 portion of the avi file. I checked the extracted ac3 as having 6 channels. So far so good. I opened it in DVDA 5.0 and it recognises the file. So far so better.I’m currently burning it and I’ll check if the surrounds work on my home theatre. i’m confident it will. then I get to say so far so best.I’ll keep you guys updated on the results.
