    Burning dual layer dvd in encore CS5(error popping up)

    Hi guys

    I have been trying to a dual layer dvd in encore CS5.

    Running into a few problems:

    When it starts to build a error pops up saying:
    Hardware error(sense code 37303) Please contact the hardware manufacturer..

    Is that the disc or burner??

    I’m using verbatim DVD+R DL 2.4x discs
    and external PIONEER BD-RW BDR-206D from macfixit

    the other option i’m trying is build a disc image in encore and burn it in toast 11 pro.. Is this ok and will it keep the quality??

    IS it better to burn the master in encore or is toast ok??

    Also what speed should i be burning the dvd at?? I choose 2x in toast but when it is writing is says it is average at 4x..

    This is my first time doing a dual layer dvd just wanna get the right workflow any help would be much appreciated..

    I probably do NOT know what I am talking about, but I would try DVD-R DL …. not +R

    My experience has been that error code is generated by bad media- and I agree that you should try -r discs. I’ve never had consistent playback across multiple players and devices with +R.
