I know this is a messed up work flow, but I already have an internal Blu-ray drive in my older “non-intel” G5. Can I purchase a Mac mini, to build discs in Encore and then burn them over my network. I have a feeling this might not work, but I’d love to know before I lay out any more cash.

Could some one running Encore on a network see if it will recognize a DVD drive on a different computer?

I think my only other option for using my current drive would be to take it out of my G5 (its an IDE Blu-ray, not a SATA) and put it in an external firewire or USB enclosure, but I’m not sure that it would be recognized that way either. I hate to invest anymore money in this, but I have some clients looking for Blu-ray content. Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
    Don
