burn dvd
I have a project saved in my hard drive on my powerbook but I cannot get it to burn to a dvd. I told the system to print to video and it ran bars/tone and black but no program what am I doing wrong somebody?

Print to Video does NOT make a DVD.
You need iDVD and a SuperDrive (DVD burner) on your Mac.
To get started, in FCP, choose:
File > Export > Quicktime Movie… > Current Settings > Audio & Video > Markers (if any) > Save.
Do NOT check the “make self-contained” (no need if you’re burning with iDVD.)After the export, drop that file onto an open iDVD menu.
Customize the menu(s) if you want.
Burn the DVD.
That’s about it.
