Consider a Sata system drive or, you might also consider a Solid State Drive for a system drive. There are (3)OCZ SSDs on the New Egg site. Read the reviews on them before deciding. SSDs are blazing fast as system drives and have enough space for Vista 64, but they can be a bit complicated. Use(2)Sata drives (same brand, model and capacity) that you can set up in the Vista software as a single raid drive system for media. Sata drives are super cheap right now. You will get better overall performance putting your AVCHD media on the raid. Setup to a minimum of Raid 0. The i7920 proc is fast, but the real speed is in the $1K 960. Good Luck.
