I’ve finally persuaded a facility I do a lot of work for, over here in London UK, to build me a dedicated Colour Grading suite. 🙂

They’ve set aside a room, 11 feet wide by 15 feet deep.

This weekend I painted it in a neutral grey, from a specialist paint company called Bristol Paints that provides paint for studios (Green Screen, Blue Screen, Neutral colours, etc.)

Next step is lighting, and this is where I have some questions:

In other grading suites I’ve worked in they use flurescent tubes, some with a cover-and-slit to direct the light onto the desk and not onto the screens.

    1) What kind of tubes are these? 6500k? Full Spectrum Daylight?

    2) What are the cover-and-slit things actually called? As a bonus, where I can order them from (U.K.)

    Many thanks!
