Brush to Path
Is there a procedure for converting a Photoshop brush to a path so that I can then animate it with a stroke in After Effects. Thanks very much.

Paint a simple instance of the path, as big as you can, do this by clicking once. Then command click on its layer thumb to select its transparency, then go to the paths palette and from the side menu select create path, try different values for the tolerance and finally finesse the path on illustrator.
This will only work with hard edged brushes, tough.
