    I’m adding RED media into the media pool, and some clips won’t appear in the clip details window when I navigate to their .RDC directory. They also won’t be added if I use any of the “add folder and subfolder” commands.

    It starts oddly on roll 14 of 33 on the second clip on the roll… I can’t see any difference in the filenames, directory names, or content of the directories… RedAlert and FCP seem to manage those files exactly as expected.

    Has anybody seen this?

    What’s the best way to get those clips into the media pool / timeline? Or have you been going outside of Resolve?

    Hi Kevin,

    A fix for this issue will be available in the next release.

    Meanwhile, this is a workaround:

    In Preferences:

    In Debug settings, add the following line:

    DPDecoder.Count = 0

    You will need to save, and restart Resolve.

    Please remember to remove this line once you have updated to the next release, as this will decrease the CPU based decode speeds for Red files.

    Regards,
    Rohit

    Thanks Rohit, working as advertised.

    I didn’t check the playback/render speeds before adding the debug code, but maybe I’ll test it once I finish this project…

    Cheers
