Broken down projector effect – similar to the one in Grindhouse Trailer – Urgent
Hi guys.
I want to simulate the effect of a projector breaking down.
The film goes out of synch, flickers to a halt and then burns the film
Sound should also grind to a halt.
There is a similar effect in the recent trailer for Grindhouse.
Anyone have any ideas?

Motion tile to get the frames to appear vertically and I thought there was a film burn plugin with AE. A little projector noise and your set. Seeing frame sprockets would be do-able if you precomp the film edge image with the video then the motion tile and burn.
