I have a Sound Devices 744T recorder and used it to record two-system using time code generated from a Panasonic HPX-2000 (P2-based) camera. During testing and the actual shoot, the time codes displayed in sync. The SGI monitor and the 7-series both had accurate TC (30P/ND) being displayed; However, after importing into FCP (v6.0.2), the time code was displayed as drop-frame even when the setting for non-drop was active (User Preferences>Editing tab>.bwf default pop-up [drop/non-drop]).

The really weird thing is that when importing NDF WAV files and the setting is set to DF, it changes the files accordingly, but only on the original import – all subsequent imports show the original setting.

Has anyone else come across this? If so, did you have a workaround?

    Thanks,

Thanks Dave, I wish it was as easy as that, but the files in the browser show the incorrect TC as well. I’m wondering if anyone has tried this using sound files from another device.
