  • Broadcast Monitor for Mac – FCP/Avid?

Hey I am a Freelance Video Editor looking to buy a Broadcast Monitor for my Edit Suite. I am on a low budget $200-$1000 range. Are there any cheaper Broadcast Monitors I can get on ebay, or any other websites that will do the trick!? What hardware will I need to buy for it to connect to my Mac? I am running Final Cut/Avid. Thank you guys! Please help me out here.

Ideally you’d want an Eizo or NEC but that’s $2,000+.

The best monitor in your price range is the Dell Ultrasharp 30″.

It’s 10-bit and has 2K resolution. Can’t do better in your budget. Hope this helps.

Do you really need a broadcast monitor? Would a Matrox MXO2 Mini, and any HDMI TV work for you? While it isn’t a true broadcast monitor, the cost of this monitoring solution is well within your budget.
