    Hello all!

I have a G5Quad connected to a BM Decklink Multibridge Extreme box which controls my Apple Cinema Display 23″ as a broadcast monitor.

What do I need to do to calibrate the monitor (if anything). It seems to me that the decklink is controlling the calibration.

Does the multibridge handle all calibration automatically? If not can someone give me instructions on how to do this please.

I’ve had a look on the BM website and other places on the net, but there seems to be little info about on how to do this.

    Bests

here’s a lookup table for you to try.
it is as close as i could get to match my dell 24″ lcd
with my sony sdi broadcast crt.

    Hi Borjis
Thanks for posting the look up table…..Just wondering how you tell the monitor all those numbers? Can you load it somehow?

    Thanks
    Miles

    Your welcome 🙂

You load the lookup table in the black magic system preferences applet.

There’s a place where you can set the parameters or optionally load a .txt file.

    its that simple.

I hear a lot of people talk about LUTs for their HDLink, but it’d be great to see more people sharing their’s. Anyone have any LUTs for the Apple 23″ Cinema Display for Robin to try?

Indeed. I would have thought there would be a small library by now.

not unlike sharing scene file setups for HD Camera’s.

Maybe people are having a hard time making HDLink LUTs that they’re happy with. I certainly have trouble making accurate ones using the HDLink utility.

are you having difficulty getting a picture to show while you adjust it?

Well, yes, I assumed that it’s just not possible to display footage from FCP or AE while using HDLink. I set some color bars as my background picture on the HDLink connected monitor. But I can’t be sure its sending the color bars correctly when its in the desktop monitor mode.
