    Hello,

I’ve been searching around looking for some advice on maintaining broadcast limits and keeping the footage within the “legal range”, but have had some difficulty.

I’m editing footage for a 30 second TVC which will need to be dubbed from miniDV to DigiBeta, but I would like to do my best to ensure the colours/luma etc. remain safe for TV broadcast.

Could somebody point me to any resources that might help me do this? Particularly any useful tools in Premiere Pro that will help me monitor and adjust the vital settings?

And just to elaborate, there is actually *no* video in this piece. It is text/graphics with voice over – advertising an event.

    Thanks for your time.
    Cheers.

  • Under Video Effects PPro choose Broadcst colors, and apply. It will work with graphics or text or video. You may have to render. Use the scroll for NTSC or PAL. The default settings (110 implied IRE) work well for either format. You can lower this value, but don’t raise it if you are sending it out for broadcast or replication.
