September 21, 2011 at 2:52 amSorry,
You are not allowed to do nice work with FCP-X because everybody knows it’ s not a professional tool.
Please stop immediately.
(and please don’t tell anybody that I really, really liked what you did and that this is coming from a guy that used to be a partner in an advertising agency)

You’re right, Bill. I should probably give up this charade, ‘fess up to my client, and let them know that I’m just a wannabe hack using FCPX.

Thanks for all things you didn’t say 😉

Thanks, Gerry. I used Sapphire Edge to grade the ad. GenArts makes the best glow I know!

You did this in iMovie pro? #sarc
How long did this take you?
Such nice warm feelings, almost makes up for Comcast’s criminal recompression of our HD streams to fit more in the cable bandwidth.

FCX. She tempts me, abuses me, beats me up, makes me feel worthless, then in the end she comes around, helps me get my work done, gives me hope and I can’t stop thinking about her.Mark Morache

While I normally track all my hours, I didn’t on this one. I had a set budget that was a bit looser than normal. I’d say I spent a good 12 hours, though. I’m still learning FCPX as I go and it seemed like a good opportunity to play with the Sapphire Edge beta as well.
