Bringing in photoshop files into FCP5
Hello,
Its my first time posting something on here. Anyway, I am using Final Cut Pro 5 and have an issue when I bring in text/graphics from photoshop to Final Cut.
I save the photoshop file as a tiff or png, so that I can keep transparency, but when I put it on the timeline in final cut, I seem to get some weird interlacing on the imported graphic.
When I use the built in text that Final Cut provides, it works just fine, with no interlacing. I dont know why its doing this. I never had this problem until I started using Final Cut 5. Is it a setting? or am I saving my files the wrong way? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

If you’re cutting on a DV timeline then you’re recompressing your pristine graphic using DV’s inferior compression scheme. If your graphics are important to you then switch to DV50 or even better 8-bit or 10-bit uncompressed. You’ll see a huge difference.
