    Hi there.
Has anyone else tried to rig, weight and animate Fred? (The Human mesh figure that comes with the software)Im having real problems getting OK results, especially in the weighting stage. I think its fundamentally because A)too many polygons and B)that hes not in a T pose or C) my skills and patience aren’t up to it.
    Has anyone got any tips?
    Thanks in advance
    Simon

Yeah, Fred isn’t an ideal character to rig/animate for the reasons mentioned. If you are new to character animation I would start with something much simpler. If you want to go ahead with Fred I’d suggest rigging the arms just enough to get them into more of a T-Pose, then do a current-state-to-object, fix any deformation problems, and then start again. Otherwise it’s going to be quite difficult to manage the shoulder area.
