Hello my fellow artists, Happy holidays

One Issue that I have in after effect is when I import a new layer to my comp and make it 3D, it goes off camera because I’ve already moved the camera away.
It’s not actually a problem and it should be like that, But for a repeating task like this It become tedious to zoom-out and nudge the layer to the current view over and over again!

I Really hope someone has already found a solution for this. If so, I hope to know.

You could make a 3D null in view and shift-parent the layer to it once you’ve made it a 3D layer, which snaps the layer to the location of the null. Then unparent without shift.

That seems like a solution, when you parent a null to the camera so when animated, the null will move with the camera, it can be used as a locator by shift parenting.

    Thanks
