Brightness/chroma shift when subtitle in on in FCP
As title said,
I find the video’s value is changed when subtitle is over it.
And I find the scope, it’s beyond 100 after add subtitle, when it’s not with no title.In video, it’s significant the Red thing turned to Redish Orange,
why does this happen?I’m editing with Prores 422 in 1920×1080 25p.
And the problem becomes more serious when exporting to MPEG-2.

Are your titles superwhite?

Which version of FCP, QT, and MacOSX? And, are the titles from FCP, or imported graphics (for eg. .jpg, .png, .tif, .tga) or some other?

first it’s pure white lightness 100% and have black stroke,
then I tried tune it to grey…….and problem is still here.I’m using FCP 7, iMac with OSX 10.6.2, Quicktime should be most updated one (installed quicktime player 7.6.3 and the default 10.0)

I just found the problem comes up when I export the current movie.
And I should revise that, after I add titles, the output clip have a brightness/chroma shift in “no title area”, when titles pop up, the video turns to normal.
Then I chose “send to -> Compressor” to output quicktime movie(same as sequence: Prores 422), and the problem has gone!
It’s awesome but I still wonder what could cause that shift happen?
