Brightness Issue
I have some video footage and the peoples faces are blown out. The spots and angle I shot it at, I cannot see their faces, they are bright white “blobs” Is there any way to correct this? Thanks for the help.

There is no detail in the faces on the tape. It doesn’t exist. If you make the footage darker, you’ll just get gray blobs.
This should have been corrected on set, by adjusting the lens aperture. Sorry.

You might be able to recover a very small amount of detail by applying a Color Correction > Levels effect and lowering the white output. But if you lower it by much more than 4 you will start to dull your brights badly.
Steve is right, this is a problem that should’ve been noticed and corrected while shooting. As a matter of fact, it’s better to slightly underexpose while shooting than overexpose at all.
