    Hello,

Working with some film based footage in AE. I am noticing a brigtness shift every so many frames. When this happens, it also causes the color to pulse. It goes from normal to over saturated. This seems to be an issue with the aged film. Is there some preset I missed that will lock the entire sequence to one brightness level. Meaning if a shift occurs it compensates for it.

    Thanks in advance

    Using CS3

    Thanks

I have tried this preset, I select a frame that’s good to sample, click set frame and it just goes crazy. I mean the color and brightness shifts more than before. And it’s introduting color artifacts.

    1. msu deflicker -a really good one

    2. Tinderbox – Deflicker plugin

    3. de-flicker plugin for VirtualDub

    4. there is a pixel sampler in AE (new in CS3) that you could use by linking it to levels effect via an expression in order to invert the flicker.
