breakout box – do I need one????!!!!!
Hi Guys
I’ve recently started FCP & it looks like I’ll be working with it for a while.
My FCP book (Lisa Brenneis Quick Start) suggests using a breakout box to run play back in real time on a video monitor. I’m not clear what I gain from this. A quick google leaves me even more confused – if I do need it then could someone recommend a system? I am on a 12 inch Powerbook G4 (+ external monitor)and running FCP 5.1.

You can run it back out thru the deck or camera that you use to capture from.
