OK once again I am back against the wall with a matte painting crashing all my boxes on the farm. Massive psd file 5000×5000. So AE will not render something like this, no matter what your settings and ram are.
So how do I break up a psd file that has 10 layers that I need for animation.
I am importing the psd as a comp not footage so I can break out the layers to animate.

Before I break this image up I am still trying to get AE to monster through this. Is there a way to allocate more than 2gigs of ram for AE and leave only 1 for the OS. I am a mac guy working on a PC, but I swear there was a 3gig switch you can code right?
