Breakdown of an After Effects Composite
Hi All,
Can anyone advise me on where to find a breakdown of a famous movie scene that used after effects. I am putting together my journal in physical form to show how after effects is used and how a comp is formed in layers. basically a photoshop type journal showing each layer wether it be green screen matte painting, behind a miniature, with actors and then particle systems etc etc. Hope someone can help.

I don’t know about famous movies, but you might try looking at Digital Juice’s Compositor’s Toolkit. Their promotional materials have several videos that demonstrate compositing with layers flying out in 3d space to show how they’re stacked on each other, etc.
