    Greetings Media Masters!!

My name is Hank Xavier, but you can call me Hx for short if you like, everyone does. I am interested in learning After Effects for my WebTV program that is under development. I have looked around, used search and looked at the FAQ in the basic forum, and cannot find the advice I seek.

I am looking for some guidance to tutorials that will take me from total AE newbie, to capable of creating an opening, closing, and several stingers for my WebTV news program that is under development. Of course these broadcast graphics will need text, animation, etc. They don’t necessarily need to be in 3D to start, I have seen some motion graphics that were nice in 2D, but I am willing to listen to the voice of experience should I be advised to go ahead and learn the 3D applications of this software along the way.

I know that there are a huge number of tutorials here, but I am having a little trouble knowing where to begin in order to progress toward where I want to be.

Thank you so much for any advice/assistance anyone can provide.

I apologize for thread bumping, but I wanted to add an idea that might be helpful for a situation like this.

It would be nice if someone familiar with the extent of the CC tutorial library could put together a few course lists. Like say a beginner course, and intermediary course, and an advanced course. With the number of tutorials already available, I’m sure it would just be a matter of collating the appropriate list and links.

    Anyway, it’s an idea =)

Another good place for tutorials is the adobe site itself. It features all their products.

“must have flash enabled”, ha ha the pun. Im just going to go now! Happy Learning!!!

Thanks Jack. I am actually starting to get the hang of it now, figuring out what is where and what it does. I was able to do a little animated title last night in 2.5D space. One of the problems I have is that I know GIMP but not photoshop, and I’m having a hard time getting my source material designed. Like I need to take a transp vector logo into 3DS so I can extrude it to 3D, but I can’t figure out how to make a vector with a transparent background and VectorMagic online is a pay service now.

Anyway, thanks a mill for the suggestions
