    Layer Space transformations to the rescue:

    I’ve started with a Quicktime movie, it’s been pre-composed three layers deep:

    Track -> Stabi -> Footage -> Quicktime

    So:
    “Footage” is the comp that just contains the Quickime, and where the final track is needed (for example a Lensflare point)

    “Stabi” is the comp where the footage gets -duh- stabilized, it is most likely larger than the footage to accomodate for the x-y motion

    “Track” is an equally large footage where the feature gets tracked.

    After all the motion tracker work, return to the “Footage” comp and give this expression to the point where the track is needed (position of a layer, center point of a radial blur, whatever):

    comp("Stabi").layer("Footage").fromComp(comp("Track").layer("Stabi").motionTracker("Tracker 1")("Track Point 1").featureCenter);

    All in one line.
    Change the compNames to fit your example, and also be sure to check if the motionTracker name/number is correct.
    I’ve created this expression by mainly pickwhipping from one comp to the other.

    Thanks Filip. I’ll give it a whirl shortly.
