BPAV files convert to FCP – no camera
I had a shooter in another city do some shooting for me and he sent via courier a disc with the BPAV folder.
I do not use a SONY camera so I do not have one to use in order to use the Sony transfer tool.
Is there another way I can get the files into Final Cut Pro? -

You do not need the camera to use the XDCAM Transfer tool or the Log and Transfer plugin.
You must have FCP 6.0.2 or up installed though for the codec.ClipBrowser to copy file with CRC checking
Sony FCP Log and Transfer plugin if you like (needs FCP 6.0.3 and up)
XDCAM Transfer which Sony seems to keep hidden for some reason
