I have added what seems a simple title imported from a tif file
I have added basic motion and it is bouncing around everywhere..
I’m sure I’ve had this problem before but can’t remember the solution

    any help appreciated

you should mention how you add motion. If there is “no motion” does it still bounce around. What do you mean by “bounce around.”

Maybe too much of THIS on the timeline?

The title is jumping up and down during the motion.
The title fades on top left and slowly moves down the screen and fades off.
I have tried adding a basic title out of text and adding the same motion and I still get the jumping, which rules out the problem being the imported tif file

    Sounds normal to me.

Video scan lines always create artifacts on high-rez images that “roll” up or down.

Try adding the “Gaussian Blur” filter set to a very low value (try settings between 0.25 and 2.5) to your graphic and see if that helps take the “edge” off of the jaggies.

    More findings

I have just done a similar effect on another FCP suite and is completely normal
But I then imported my project into the other suite and the jumping is still there !!!!
    Now i really dn’t get it !!
