  • Bounce on text, and animate by character but line by line?

I totally dig AE’s text animation tools, but a couple questions:

Is there a way give a little end bounce, and/or preemptive motion to each character? So let’s say each character fades in and drops 200 pixels on Y, I want to have each character bounce a little as it hits the bottom and settles into place. Rippling along the sentence with a “by character” “ramp up” reveal. Then when they leave I’d like each character to drop down say 10 pixels before jetting backup 200…

Secondly with this set up, or others using a “by character” “ramp up” reveal, is there a way to have it ramp up reveal all the character on one line, and then start on the next line? I’ve done it by breaking each line into it’s own layer, but it would be nice if there was an easier way…?

    Cheers

yes…you just need to do a 2nd animation on the same text where instead of falling, it goes up..then you can animate the end from 0-100 and slightly off that you animate the start from 0-100 and then just line it all up so that it starts jumping as soon as it lands from the 1st animation
