Boujou to AE qn anyone? (yes, I know this is the AE forum)
Hey guys, I know that technically I’m not supposed to post boujou questions here, seeing as there is no forum dedicated to it. However I intend to integrate it with after effects for my project. I hope that posting this question here isn’t considered too inappropriate, as my main concern is with boujou but it is necessary in order to make it work with AE.
Anyway, I’m running boujou on my Macbook but through parallel windows (I wonder if this is part of the problem). Everything seems to work fine, I import the sequence, track features then solve camera. While tracking features it seems to stay fixed onto positions perfectly. However, after I solve camera movement the track points seem to float about wildly and appear/disappear at random. I can’t see why it would do this, I’ve followed several video tuts and everything up until this stage has worked perfectly.
I need to be able to have constantly-fixed points that don’t appear and disappear in order to select them for exporting for after effects.
The strange thing is that in boujou, when I add the “ladybug” test object, it remains fixed and tracks perfectly and appears to be a part of the live footage. Boujou’s obviously doing its thing and tracking this test object fine. So, why would my track points be behaving erratically?Would really appreciate any feedback as to keeping these camera solve points fixed as I need them to export for after effects. Right now I can’t even select them nicely.
Once again my apologies for posting this here, I know it is more of a boujou question. Thanks in advance,
Eugene
